Hi, I am Paris, the founder of Sommeil P.

It is a French word “Sommeil” [Som-may] is used to describe a state of sleep or slumber. The P is for Paris or Pyjamas. Also my initials are PJ so it was a no brainer.

I wanted to create pyjamas that celebrate femininity, are high quality but also super cute and most importantly comfortable!  Sommeil P pjs are better for you and the environment! Thoughtful intention is woven into everything we create from the fabrics we choose, to the way your order arrives at your door.

We use natural, breathable, 100% cotton fibres over synthetic alternatives because they’re gentler on your skin and kinder to the planet. It also allows your skin to breathe while you sleep. Unlike polyester, which traps heat, pils easily and won't stand the test of time.

 

Cotton is a natural fibre that doesn’t shed microplastics and can biodegrade at the end of its life, making it a more considered choice for sleepwear you wear for hours at a time.

I design all our products and my sister hand paints or hand draws all our prints. We are located in Gold Coast, Australia and I hand pack all your orders from my home office. All of our pieces are ethically produced and manufactured in China. We are happy to be partnering with a small family owned business that offers a  fair, safe, legal and humane working environment.
